"Through with Chew" Week

“Through with Chew” week in Colorado is scheduled for Monday through Saturday, to help spit tobacco users kick the habit. Designated in 1989 by the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, this nationally-recognized week helps alert users of the health dangers of smokeless tobacco and encourages all users to participate in the Great American Spitout on Saturday.For those who want to quit using spit tobacco or smoking, the Colorado Quitline, at 1-800-QUIT-NOW (784-8669) and the Colorado QuitNet, at http://www.coquitline.org offer tobacco cessation services free of charge to everyone in the state.
