Restorante Ti Amo, owned by Vincenzo Perucchini and located on Highway 6 in Silverthorne, will be closed as its staff deals with damage from flooding. According to Perucchini, more than 54,000 gallons of water from the restaurant’s sprinkler system destroyed carpet, computer systems, food and the roof this week.”We ask for support from the people to understand our situation,” he said. “We are here. Sorry for the inconvenience. We want to be a part of this community. We want to stand up on our legs again.”Perucchini has helped others in the past. After Hurricane Katrina, he partnered with Alpine Bank to raise $25,000 for victims.He said the restaurant could reopen in three weeks.
