Tim Trevino: Breck has bigger problems

Tim Trevino

That is enough letters from these high- and-mighty taxpayers who seem so concerned about the use of the town council’s time and lack of judgment. You had every right to come and debate it out on Sept. 9, This was a great case of democracy in action. Some kids got tired of an outdated law, they protested it, and then they convinced the town council to make a change. That was a week ago, move on with your lives and don’t worry ” your cars will not be damaged and your precious tax money can now be used for more police to stop the real crime that needs to be stopped in Breckenridge. Jaywalking!

Last I heard, jaywalking was illegal, and I don’t see the police enforcing it. What’s to keep these jaywalkers from tumbling across the hoods of our SUVs without proper enforcement and attention to safety? Does the police chief have any expertise on this subject? Or a possible reccomendation to the town council?

Let’s forget about this issue, it is over, you lost this one, there are more important things to worry about like where are we going to park when they finish completely developing Breckenridge?
