Timberline Learning Center announces new schedule

Daily News staff report

Effective September 1 Timberline Learning Center is extending their daily hours offering care from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at no additional cost.

TLC tuition rates will not increase this year.

“We have been offering weekday holiday coverage since we opened, but decided to extend our hours to better support our families who work in this very unique resort/hospitality environment,” stated director Leslie Davis. “We want to nourish not only the success of the family as a whole, but also support our families’ successes at work. We also decided not to raise tuition rates this year for many of the same reasons we decided to offer extended hours.”

TLC, located at 170 Valley Brook Road in Breckenridge, is a local, non-profit early-learning center for the children of Summit County. Serving children ages six weeks through 5 years, TLC offers care Monday through Friday, year round, including all weekday holidays.

TLC utilizes the Reggio Emilia approach, which encourages strength in communication, community collaboration and inspires curiosity and independence. Regular field trips throughout Summit County, grant funded programs at the Breckenridge Recreation Center and enrichment programs including dance, yoga and computer classes at TLC expose children to a variety of experiences in a safe environment.
