Time to be supportive of schools

After reading the letters on March 30, I felt the need to speak out in support of our teachers and our schools.

As a Summit High School graduate, I feel I have some investment in our schools and their teachers.

I have read so many negative articles and letters, I want to encourage our community to have a different attitude. If we really want to make our schools great, get involved and be supportive while voicing opinions.

Many of the same teachers who taught me 8 to 10 years ago are still working hard, and continue to be positive role models to the youth of this county.

The decision to end the contract with the previous superintendent has been made. Now we all need to move on and figure out what needs to happen next.

I hope we can learn how to support our schools and be the community who uses positive actions, not negative words to influence the students.
