Timing of anti-Reagan letters was bad

Lori A. NuzzolilloDillon

My favorite section in the Summit Daily is the opinion section of the paper. I love hearing the different viewpoints on many different subjects of the people who care about Summit County. I was dismayed though to find the Summit Daily printed two letters last week attempting to tear down President Reagan. I feel it was the height of bad taste to print one of them on the day one of our presidents was laid to rest.I pray that in the future, the Summit Daily will give the families and friends of people who have died and have made a difference in their lives time to reflect and mourn their loved ones without the deceased being ridiculed on the day of their burial. I also pray that when each of us passes from this life, people will take the time to reflect on the positive we had to give to others; not make sure everyone knows that there were many imperfections in our life or we could have done things better. There is a time and a place for everything. I feel these letters would have served us readers better if printed a few days later.Lori A. NuzzolilloDillon
