TIPS server training set for Monday

The Summit Prevention Alliance will be sponsoring a TIPS class 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at the Breckenridge Town Hall for servers and sellers of alcohol. TIPS, or Training for Intervention Procedures, is a one-day class focused on preventing overserving, sales to minors and drunken driving. The class teaches participants how alcohol is absorbed into the blood stream, behavioral cues that indicate progressive levels of intoxication and intervention techniques to assist servers in handling difficult situations.The class costs $20 and advanced registration is required with limited space available.
