To the snowboarder that hit me …

I spent it in a hospital bed unable to move without excruciating pain. Your body slam that clobbered me from behind and knocked me down fractured my pelvis in four places. It hurts. It really hurts. What hurts the most is that you left me there in the snow. What kind of person would do that? Didn’t your parents teach you to accept responsibility for your actions?Do they know you are capable of that most despicable act – a hit and run? How can you sleep at night? Do you have any idea of the thousands of dollars in medical bills I am facing or my lost revenue as a ski journalist. No, I won’t be on the mountain again this season. While you’re out there snowboarding out of control, I’m learning how to transfer my broken body from a wheelchair to a walker. You might think you got away this time, but your recklessness and disregard for others will most certainly cause another crash. They’re looking for you, dude.
