Toastmasters cover many topics
The Summit Toastmasters learned about assertiveness, conquering the fear of speaking and the benefits of volunteering at their Feb. 10 meeting. Guest speakers were Boot Gordon, Igor Gesse and Alan Swartz. Impromptu topics included Bob Hope, Microsoft, hot air balloons, Valentine’s Day and the Mississippi River. President Jim Shaw presided.
The Toastmasters meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Senior and Community Center near Frisco on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. The public is invited to attend.
