A forest health task force roundtable this morning will focus on incentives for businesses using beetle-kill wood. Increased interest in using dead lodgepoles means there could be grants available for technical assistance.

The group will also discuss updates on federal forest health legislation, as well as business standards for tree service companies.

Guests include Jack Taylor of the Colorado Small Business Development Center, experts from the Colorado State Forest Service, and Matt Sugar, representing Sen. Mark Udall’s office.

The meeting is set for 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Frisco Community Center, 110 Third Ave. Call (970) 389-0987 for more info.
