Special to the DailyBreckenridge Creative Arts will present Americana music icon and multi-Grammy Award winner Lyle Lovett and His Acoustic Group on Sunday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m. at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge. A singer, composer and actor, Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers. Tickets are $75, with limited VIP seating available at $95. VIP tickets include priority seating in the first four rows and a pre-performance cocktail reception. All Day, Arapahoe Basin, 28194 US Highway 6. Bring the family out to participate in the 2015 Summit Cups Series. A fun free series for skiers & snowboarders under age 16. Beginners are welcome. Event #3 will be a mogul and big mountain competition.

Adult Drop In Volleyball

Silverthorne, March 1

6 p.m., Silverthorne Recreation Center, 430 Rainbow Drive. Competitive games are played with rally scoring to 21, winner stays on the court. Drop in volleyball is free with a valid Silverthorne Recreation Center pass or daily admission. Clean, non-marking gym shoes are required while using gymnasium. All games must fall within the designated drop in times. When drop in numbers exceed 20 and the other side of the gymnasium is available, users may request a second side. (970) 262-7370.
