Breckenridge, March 16

6 p.m., Fuqua Livery Stable, 110 E Washington Ave. On the third Monday of every month participants will have the opportunity to draw the nude model applying different processes and using different media at each session. $10 covers the model, bring your own drawing materials.

Young Composers in Concert

Frisco, March 16

7 p.m., Summit Middle School, 158 School Road. The public is invited to hear original compositions by local young composers in a free concert. Come support and encourage these aspiring young musicians and composers who entered their original compositions in the ‘First Annual Young Composers Competition’ sponsored by Summit Music and Arts and The Breckenridge Music Festival’s ‘Music in the Schools’ program funded by The Summit Foundation. The competition attracted 25 entries from local young musicians.

Gold Miner’s Snowshoe Hike

Breckenridge, March 16

10 a.m., Iowa Hill Trailhead, Airport Road. Enjoy an easy guided hike through the historic Iowa Hill mine site, which takes you past mining artifacts and interpretive signs. Lean what life was like as a miner in the late 1800s and visit a restored miners’ boardinghouse. Weather permitting; Reservations required.


Breckenridge, March 16

11 a.m., Breckenridge Welcome Center, 203 S Main St. This enlightening orientation will provide the 411 on where to eat, shop and play in town interspersed with intriguing facts about historic Breck. This is a must-do event if you are new to town, or just want a better handle on where the gondola is, where to grab lunch with the kids, where to get your Breck souvenirs, and of course, where to go learn about the wonderfully rich history of this charming town.

1 p.m., Breckenridge Christian Ministries (BCM Building), 103 Sawmill Road. Featuring all the latest styles for men, ladies and kids. Prooceeds to benefit SCY.
