All Day, Arts Alive gallery, 500 S. Main St., La Cima Mall. Arts Alive Gallery in Breckenridge is having a show of over 60 garden inspired works of art from quilts and paintings to barbwire and ceramics.

All Day, The Art Forum at Summit County Commons, 37 Peak One Drive. Recent Summit High graduate and recipient of the Summit County Arts Exhibit Committee Scholarship, Kaitlin Wallace is displaying a sample of her fashion designs. Learn more about the wonderful waxy world of encaustics with Victoria Eubanks. Scroll-saw woodworker Len Szmurlo and metalsmith Cathy Gammel’s art is featured on the wall adjacent the library.

7:30 p.m., Napper Tandy’s, 110 Lincoln Ave. By Carisa Peterson, Lenore Giardina, Christopher Willard Featuring Lenore Giardina, Abbey Austin, Michelle Marzo, Erica Fox January’s hit production returns with new stories and new points of view. A tapestry of local women’s experiences – gathered from neighbors and friends in Summit County – is spun to create a funny and captivating story of our life and times in the high country. Some adult language and content.

Mindfulness Meditation and Buddhist Philosophy

Dillon, Aug. 10

6 p.m., Lord of the Mountains Dillon, 56 U.S. 6. Mindfulness Meditation Summit County presents weekly classes on Mindfulness Meditation and its application in everyday life. All levels and drop-ins welcome. Area retreats, videos and downloads are also available. Classes are by donation.
