National Library Week Early Celebration

Summit County, April 8

All day,Summit County Library is celebrating National Library Week a week early this year to share good times with our local kids and their families over Spring Break. ‘Mr. Kneel and his Hip-Hop for families,’ will perform at each library branch. The schedule is Tuesday, April 7 South Branch library at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, North Branch Library at 10:30 a.m., and on the same day he will perform at the Frisco Main Branch at 1 p.m. This program is free and everyone (young and young at heart) is invited. Thunder and Rain

Frisco, April 8

9 p.m., Barkley Ballroom, 610 Main St. Thunder and Rain is an original string band with exceptional vocal harmonies. Members of Thunder and Rain hail from bluegrass meccas such as North Carolina, Wisconsin and the Colorado mountains. Their diverse bluegrass influences have helped capture a unique sound steeped in traditional bluegrass. Free show.

Wednesday Living Room Concert

4 p.m., The Next Page Bookstore, 409 Main St., Suite 101. Join Randall McKinnon for a fun afternoon of engaging musical fun at his favorite bookstore ever. Drink and food specials at the tea bar. Come browse the stacks and enjoy Randall’s tunes-including selections from his brand new CD, “Back Home.” Make requests and even suggestions for next week’s show.
