Open Arms Childcare and Preschool Yard Sale

9 a.m., Open Arms Childcare & Preschool, 16072 Highway 9. Open Arms Childcare and Preschool is hosting a community yard sale. Baby items, outdoor gear, art/crafts, and general yard sale items. This rain or shine event benefits Open Arms.

Kids Fishing Derby

Silverthorne, June 6

9 a.m., Willowbrook Road. Trent Park Pond. Free fishing derby for children 14 years and younger. Bring your own fishing gear for a morning of fishing fun.

Frisco’s Rock the Dock Party

Frisco, June 6

11 a.m., Frisco Bay Marina, 267 Marina Road. There will be a burger and beer deal from the Island Grill and live music. Fun times, giveaways, and music to dance to, found right where Main Street Frisco meets the water. If store your boat at the marina for the summer, come into the office for a token for a free burger and beer during the party.

Safe Summer Kickoff

Silverthorne, June 6

11 a.m., Silverthore Elementary School, 101 Hamilton Creek Road. Giveaways include bike and skateboard helmets, reflectors, kids fingerprinting with photos for parents records, free BBQ and lots of safety information. Special events will include helmet adjusting and decoration, car seat checkpoint and inspection, theft prevention and home fire safety. Children will be given a passport while at the event and asked to visit each booth in order to obtain a stamp. Once the passport is completed, the child can turn it in for a chance to win a new bicycle.

National YoYo Day Celebration and YoYo Contest

Breckenridge, June 6

noon, YoYoLoco, 302 S. Main St. Contest and more festivities to take place at nearby Carter Park Pavilion from 3-6 p.m. The contest will be separated by appropriate skill level. Participation is encouraged – everyone is welcome to attend, play, watch the performances, hang out and have fun. More info at:
