Summit County Animal Shelter Dance Fundraiser

Dillon, June 16

6 p.m., Lake Dillon Amphitheater, West Lodgepole St. Sunset Dancing at Lake Dillon Amphitheatre will host a dance fundraiser for the Summit County Animal Shelter. A free East Coast Swing dance lesson with some brand new moves will be taught from 6-7 p.m. with general dancing from 7-8:30 p.m. The dance will include an opportunity to win a prize through dancing. Come and enjoy the fun. Dancing is on the covered stage so don’t let clouds or rain stop you.

Gutenberg: The Musical

Dillon, June 16, 17 & 21

6:30 p.m., The Lake Dillon Theatre Company, 176 Lake Dillon Drive. Aspiring playwrights Bud and Doug perform a backers audition for their new musical about printing press inventor Johann Gutenberg. Satirically irreverent, Gutenberg! The Musical is the hilarious show-within-a-show that takes a surprising look back at a historic inventor and will leave you rolling with laugher.

Willpower and Grace

Breckenridge, June 16

5:30 p.m., Old Masonic Hall, 136 S. Main St. Learn to move with grace and style, from a place of instinctual inner power. WillPower & Grace is the full-body, barefoot conditioning program that athletes need, and the high-energy cardiovascular solution that mind-body practitioners have been searching for. This class is taught barefoot, with foot fitness and lower chain strengthening as the key to promoting optimal movement and complete body conditioning. This is a 3 week session based class.

Skateboard Park Trip

Breckenridge, June 16

9:15 a.m., Breckenridge Recreation Center, 880 Airport Road. Each week, kids head out to some of the coolest parks around the state to try out new tricks on exciting bowls and features. Participants must register by the Friday prior to the trip, but this program is open to the first 12 participants, so dont wait. June 16: Buena Vista and Fairplay Skate Parks. (970) 453-1734.

Reading to the Dogs
