Leadville Independence Day Celebration

Leadville, July 4

8:30 a.m., Downtown Leadville. Enjoy an old-fashioned Independence Day celebration in historic downtown Leadville with a parade, fireworks, a free barbecue and a 5K. The Firecracker 5K starts at 8:30 (register from 7-8 a.m.), the parade is at 10 a.m. followed by a free BBQ at the Leadville Airport. Fireworks begin at dusk.

10 a.m., The Lake Dillon Theatre Company, 176 Lake Dillon Drive. Patriotic Salute Concert with the National Repertory Orchestra & The Lake Dillon Theatre Company. Features patriotic music favorites. 8 p.m., Riverwalk Center, 150 West Adams Ave. Features patriotic music favorites. Carl Topilow, Conductor. Indoor reserved seats $20. Phone orders accepted at (970) 547-3100 and will only be answered after people in line, in person at the Ticket Office have been served. Lawn seating will remain free and will not require a ticket.

All Day, Frisco’s Main Street and Frisco Bay Marina. Celebrate the 4th of July with a pancake breakfast, kids’ fishing derby, parade, live music, food and fireworks.

All Day, Main Street. On Independence Day, the party kicks off with a 10K trail run, followed by the Firecracker 50 mountain bike race leads and the Main Street parade. Arts festivals, family activities, live music, a performance by the National Repertory Orchestra and an extraordinary fireworks display close out the weekend.
