Todd Franzen thanks community

Todd Franzen

Thanks to all of you who came to the fundraiser on Tuesday evening, the amount of support at the event has been completely overwhelming for me. Judging by the standing-room only at the the clubhouse dinner benefit, it shows the support and love of the community that I grew up in. Even the support over the past few months since I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in November has been amazing. It’s funny because after talking to numerous friends, I took a moment to look around and see just how busy it was. Then looking back toward the entrence and seeing the RWB Fire Department come in, I thought we were going to get shut down! It turns out they came to support the cause! Definitely a highlight!I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know that I have been talking with my CPA about opening a Medical Trust account so that there is accountability to take care of my medical expences. It’s important for me to tell everyone that donated that’s my plan and the funds are going where they are intended! There are some people that I have to thank, Roe Schardt and Fay Reynolds. Laura Russette, Vicki Dempsey and Donna Franzen. Jerry Cooney for his live- auctioneering skills and his crew: Bill Schardt, Harold Wilson, John Gain, Kevin Erickson and Joan Cooney. The Clubhouse Restaurant employees who donated their time, Mark Burke, Jack Reily, Tim, Angel, Becca & Billy. Event helpers: Cathy & Brian Green, Mary Wilson, and Kim Schardt for their work on organizing the fundraiser, and all the sponsores including Burk and Reilys, The Clubhouse, Fatty’s, Lazer Graphics, Subway, Summit County Investment Co., and US Foods. I can not thank enough to all the merchants, restaurants and friends that donated their items for the live auction and raffle to make this event so successful especially in such difficult times! Also, the Summit Daily News for its announcements. And of course, Mom, Dad and my girlfrend Erika! To all of you, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
