Tone it down, Cooper

Brad Wilson, Frisco

Letter-writer Robert Cooper (SDN, Nov. 11): lighten up. It is possible to disagree with aspects of Reid Williams’ story (SDN, Nov. 10) without using words like “stupid” or “idiotic.”

I’m sure you’re capable of making your social and political points without resorting to attack verbiage. Better yet, why don’t you submit your own column. I would guess this paper would welcome your input.

It has been said that “criticism comes easier than craftsmanship.” Maybe, after all your negative letters to the editor, it is time for you to step up to the plate and see if you can handle the heat.
