BRECKENRIDGE Friday night’s Honda Ski Tour halfpipe event at Breckenridge Ski Resort has been cancelled, according to Breckenridge Ski Resort communications manager Nicky DeFord. All in-town Honda Ski Tour events, including all musical performances, are still a go. DeFord cited poor weather as the reason for the halfpipe event’s cancellation. “You can’t have athletes 15 feet out of the pipe if there’s any wind,” she said. “It’s a safety issue.”DeFord said the halfpipe contest will probably be rescheduled for Sunday. Skiercross is still set for Saturday, but an updated schedule is still in the works.
