Town council deserves benefits

James J. Bachman M.D., Frisco

EDITOR’S NOTE: the following letter to Frisco’s Dick Boylan was provided for publication.

I want to thank you for your interest in Frisco town government. Your participation is both welcome and appreciated. However, with all respect, I simply disagree with you.

You take the position that a seat on the Frisco Town Council should be a volunteer position.

I feel you are wrong. As a taxpayer, I am happy to support the Frisco Town Council with both salary and benefits. From my perspective, the goal is community involvement.

It would be my desire to see as many people run for the council as possible.

I feel that the council position takes a tremendous amount of time and energy. I feel people should be rewarded.
