Town of Dillon seeks volunteers

The Town of Dillon is seeking volunteers from throughout Summit County to assist before and during the 2009 Military Recognition event “Never Forget – An Evening of Tribute” to be held at the Dillon Amphitheatre on July 3, and the town’s old-fashioned Fourth of July activities.

Volunteers are needed to assist with event set-up, greeting guests, selling buddy poppies (all proceeds benefit disabled veterans), handing out American flags/pins, assistance to the USAF Academy Band, assisting with beer concessions and other helpful tasks on July 3 and a variety of Fourth of July activities. Volunteer shifts will be approximately 3 hours long. If you can volunteer or would like more info, contact Susan Fairweather at or Liz Berry, Dillon’s Volunteer Coordinator, at or call (970) 468-2403. Student volunteers will receive community service credit. Volunteers receive T-shirts.
