Town of Frisco encourages cooperation with snow removal efforts
As winter approaches, the town of Frisco is asking for assistance from residents, businesses and visitors to help create optimal conditions for safe and effective snow removal throughout the community.
Frisco is asking that the public keep streets, alleys, sidewalks and rights-of-way clear in order that the town can perform year-round maintenance throughout the season.
Starting on Nov. 1, the town will begin enforcing the prohibition on storing vehicles, dumpsters and other equipment overnight on Frisco’s streets, alleys, shoulders and rights-of-way. Any vehicles parked overnight in any of the prohibited areas or not in a lot designated for overnight parking could face ticketing and towing.
A right-of-way is the full property width owned by the town and typically extends about 10 feet beyond the edge of a street or alley’s paved area.
Again, this year the town of Frisco is offering on-street options for overnight parking to better accommodate the need and demand for more parking. Overnight parking will be made available in specific, signed areas on 2nd, 3rd, and 7th Avenues and will include requirements for moving vehicles each day to accommodate maintenance needs, including snow removal.
