Traffic stops to resume on Georgetown Hill

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be stopping traffic several times a day on eastbound and westbound Interstate 70 at Georgetown Hill beginning today for a rock mitigation project.Safety considerations require traffic stops several times a day, up to 20 minutes at a time. The stops will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Westbound traffic will be stopped at the Georgetown exit; eastbound traffic at the Silver Plume exit. Drivers should expect one or two stops each hour, depending on traffic volumes.
