Tucker snowcat tours open

Tucker Mountain is open at Copper Mountain, offering skiers and snowboarders more than 273 acres and 1,200 vertical feet of extreme terrain. Tucker’s peak at 12,337 feet can be accessed by free snowcat tours or a 45-minute hike.From the peak, the steep glades of Fremont, The Nacho and The Taco are accessible.Snowcat trips are available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily on a first-come, first-served basis when conditions permit. The snowcat picks up guests at the bottom of Copper Bowl. Tucker Mountain, located to the south of Copper Bowl, is a great opportunity for skiers and riders to get an off-piste experience inbounds, according to mountain operations director Mike Unruh.
