Two killed, two hurt in collision

FREDERICK, Colo. – Two people were killed and two were injured in a head-on collision in Weld County on Wednesday.The Colorado State Patrol said Zuri S. Flores, 20, and Isai Flores Bermudez, 24, both of Frederick, were killed.They were eastbound on Colorado 52 in a Saturn driven by Zuri Flores when a westbound Dodge pickup crossed the center line at about 5 a.m. and collided with their vehicle head-on, the patrol said.Both were ejected and died at the scene, the patrol said.The patrol said Tobias S. Sholes, 30, of Frederick, the driver of the pickup, and passenger Michael Dewey, 31, of Thornton were taken to Denver Health Medical Center.Dewey was listed in serious condition and Sholes in fair condition, hospital spokeswoman Donna Kettenbach said. The nature of their injuries was not released.
