Two men arrested in Breck street fight

BRECKENRIDGE – Police charged two men Thursday after a Main Street Breckenridge fight sent two other men to the medical center, one with a broken jaw.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the brawl and hope more witnesses will come forward.

Officers were alerted to a fight in progress in the 100 block of South Main Street about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night. Responding officers described a chaotic scene of one injured man lying on the ground surrounded by a group of 10 to 15 people.

Witnesses told officers two groups argued and that the confrontation became physical. The man on the ground and another man complaining of neck pain were taken to Summit Medical Center. Officers interviewed several people but made no arrests at the time.

On Thursday, officers completed more interviews. Police arrested Charles Reeves, 21, of San Marcos, Texas, for second-degree assault and booked him into the Summit County Jail. Officers also cited Sean Armstrong, 22, of San Marcos, Texas, for disorderly conduct and released him on a summons.

Any other witnesses should contact Detective Susan Quesada at (970) 453-2941.
