Ullr Fest design contest underway

Daily Staff Writer

The Ullr Fest Poster Contest is back for this year’s Ullr Fest in Breckenridge, Jan. 7-14, 2005. The theme this year is “Ullr – This Snow’s for You!” Artists can submit a concept sketch to the Breckenridge Resort Chamber (BRC). Deadline for poster contest concept submissions is Aug. 13.Ullr Fest is one of the wackiest winter festivals in the country. The week-long event pays homage to the Norse God of Snow (Ullr) with celebrations such as the Ullympics, the Ullr Bonfire, a bar series and the unofficial world’s craziest parade. This season is the event’s 42nd year. Sketches must be no larger than 14 inches by 17 inches. Artists are asked to roughly tie in their concept to the theme. From the submittals, the poster winner will be chosen by a panel of judges. Artwork can be turned in to the Breckenridge Resort Chamber offices located at 311 S. Ridge St., or mailed to: Breckenridge Resort Chamber, Attn: Ken Miller, P.O.
