US Forest Service proposes increased fees for 6 popular cabin rentals across Colorado
Pike-San Isabel National Forests & Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands are proposing a fee increase at six recreation cabin rentals to sustainably operate, maintain and improve recreation facilities and infrastructure.
This fee-increase proposal includes recreation cabins on Leadville, Salida, San Carlos and South Park ranger districts. The public is invited to comment on proposed fee changes. Comments will be accepted until Oct. 31.
In the Leadville Ranger District, the Crescent Mining Camp Cabins and the Dawson Cabin are proposed to go up from a $50 fee to a $65 fee.
