USA Pro Challenge contest offers fans chance to design official poster
The 2015 USA Pro Challenge is continuing the tradition of hosting a nationwide contest on Facebook, inviting artists to create a national event poster for the fifth-annual race that will be seen throughout the world.
Artists from across the country can make submissions, with members of the Pro Challenge social media audience helping to select a winner.
The USA Pro Challenge team will decide the winner, and that design will be produced and sold to race fans online and on site during the race in August.
“The first year we held the contest, we were surprised at the popularity among our fans and decided to make it an annual tradition,” said Shawn Hunter, CEO of the USA Pro Challenge. “The caliber of the designs we receive each year is impressive, and we’re excited to see those artistic talents on display again with the 2015 entries. This past year, our race partner, Lexus, was so fond of the winning design, they decided to wrap the lead pace car with it.”
The contest encourages amateurs and professionals alike to submit designs via the USA Pro Challenge Facebook page through Friday, April 24.
Artists are encouraged to incorporate the beauty of the Colorado landscape and the drive and athleticism of the cyclists into their designs.
Once entries are submitted, the race’s thousands of loyal Facebook fans will have a chance to cast their votes for the 10 best posters through Friday, May 1. From there, the Pro Challenge team will select the winner, who will be announced Sunday, May 10.
The winner will receive four passes to the VIP hospitality tent in the city of his or her choice, in addition to having the winning poster produced and sold to fans online and on site during the race, Monday, Aug. 17, through Sunday, Aug. 23.
All entries must be submitted via the USA Pro Challenge Facebook contest page; only online entries will be eligible.
