Vail Mountain extends lifts hours past 3:30 p.m.

VAIL ” Skiers and riders can take advantage of an extra 30 minutes to ride the lifts at Vail, since operating hours will be extended starting Saturday to 4 p.m. for the remainder of the season. They’ve been closing on the front side at 3:30 p.m.

Lift hours will be extended by 30 minutes in Blue Sky Basin and the Back Bowls as well.

Starting Saturday, operating hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the front side. Blue Sky Basin lifts will begin closing at 2:45 p.m., and the Back Bowls will close at 3:30 p.m. through closing day, set for Sunday, April 23.

The resort is 100 percent open and offers skiing and riding on 5,289 acres, including 193 trails accessed by 34 lifts.
