Summit Fire & EMS responded to a vehicle fire on Thursday night, March 27, on Interstate 70.
According to the Summit Fire & EMS battalion chief who was at the scene, the agency responded to a Ram diesel truck engulfed in flames on Interstate 70 eastbound near the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel.
Crews were able to put out the fire after approximately 25 minutes and 250 gallons of water. The fire was extinguished around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night, according to a social media post by the department.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
