Volunteer for an Adopt-A-Trail Project

Christy Sports and the SE Group invite you to join them on Wednesday for a trail maintenance project on the Peaks Trail.

Volunteers will perform various trail maintenance activities, including trail closure/restoration work in braided areas, construction of water diversions and checking dams for erosion control. All ability levels are welcome.

Volunteers should dress for a day outdoors: Bring lunch, water, work gloves, layered clothing including long pants, a long sleeved shirt, sturdy boots, sunglasses, a sun hat, sunscreen, rain gear, insect repellent, and lots of enthusiasm.

This effort is part of Friends of the Dillon Ranger District’s (FDRD) Forest Stewards Program Adopt-A-Trail initiative. Future opportunities to participate in efforts on this trail are scheduled for Aug. 27 and Sept. 24.

For more information on FDRD, visit http://www.fdrd.org. Please contact Troy Wineland (970) 485-2961, twineland@segroup.com, to RSVP and for meeting place/time information.
