Volunteers needed at the thrift store

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

Interested in volunteering and making a difference in Summit County? Summit Thrift & Treasure in Dillon is seeking volunteers to help in a variety of functions. By volunteering you will make a positive impact on the community helping to improve the lives of Summit County families. Beyond providing inexpensive clothing and household items to anyone who needs them, STT is also the main funding source for the Family & Intercultural Resource Center (FIRC). FIRC uses the funds from the thrift store to provide vital resources to Summit County such as emergency assistance for families in crisis. For more information please contact Jaime Harmon, FIRC Development and Volunteer Manager, at (970) 262-3888, ext. 306, or at Jaimeh@summitfirc.org.

Summit Daily is embarking on a multiyear project to digitize its archives going back to 1989 and make them available to the public in partnership with the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection. The full project is expected to cost about $165,000. All donations made in 2023 will go directly toward this project.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.
