Volunteers sought for fish shocking event Sunday

The Greenlands Reserve Land Trust seeks volunteers for the second annual fish shocking event at Straight Creek Trail Sunday. Volunteers should meet at the Straight Creek trailhead in Dillon at the end of County Road 51 at 9 a.m. and should dress for a day outdoors. The project will end by 3 p.m. Efforts will shock and count fish in the Straight Creek Watershed Aug. 5.

Volunteers will need to bring lunch, water, work gloves, sturdy boots, layered clothing, sunglasses, sun hats, insect repellent, and enthusiasm.
