Vote for Van Gundy, Willis

RE: Here’s an image: Frisco listening to its people (Daily Mail, March 15)Hear, hear! I suspect Tom Schorr’s March 14 letter expresses the views of more citizens than our leaders want to hear about. It is not that our council incumbents and the leader of the Frisco Chamber don’t care it is that they don’t listen. The recent big box controversy showed them ignoring the citizens at public meetings, downplaying results of the town’s commissioned survey, and after a costly Dec. 13 special election, suggesting townsfolk were too uninformed to vote correctly.Preserving the character of our charming, friendly mountain community is my priority. I believe many share that view. It seems that the council majority does not. Two new faces on council will make a difference. I urge Frisco citizens to get to know two candidates of a different cut, longtime residents Woody Van Gundy and Kent Willis. They will listen, and they are already listening. Don’t take my word for that; meet them yourself. Kent and Woody are hosting many informal neighborhood gatherings before our April 4 council election. You’re invited, so give me a call at (970) 668-1771.
