Vote on the 2009 Green Scene Awards

The High Country Conservation Center is looking for nominations for the 2009 Green Scene Awards. Send your nominations to email@example.com and include name of nominee, contact info (phone and email), category (listed below), and a brief description of their efforts. Nominations are due by Friday, April 17!
The Green Scene Awards will be held in conjunction with the annual Earth Day Action Fair on Saturday, April 25. Please help us honor Summit County’s deserving individuals, businesses, officials and groups by nominating them for one of the following categories:
Organic Fertilizer: a teacher in our community who offers great education projects for students in an effort to teach proper care for the earth.
Julia Butterfly Hill Individual Achievement Award: an individual who makes our community greener.
Essential Earthy Employee Award: co-worker or employee that advocates for environmental practices within the workplace.
Green Machine Public Works: a worthy government agency or official that goes beyond the gov’t standard for environmental programs.

Lisa Simpson Outstanding Youth Award: a youth that works to better the environment.
Greener Summit Business Award: a local business that makes an effort to institute environmental programs/projects for their employees and/or their customers/clients.
Wild Wilderness Wonders: This is the 43rd anniversary and there is even more pressure on this resource. This award recognizes an individual that works to protect wilderness.
Building a Greener Future Award: a local builder or contractor who makes green practices a part of their building.
