Back in 2005, Chris Renner started Pinnacle Mountain Homes as an outsider with a white-collar management approach to construction. Renner drew from experience in careers including consulting, finance and technology and brought it to the construction industry.
Pinnacle Mountain Homes was created out of the notion that construction needed a more progressive, approach. The owners sought to run a company that deviated from the traditional industry. With the future of the planet in mind, the company transitioned to becoming an Evergreen company.
The goal of Evergreen businesses is to adapt and grow profitably for 100 years, and more. Pinnacle Mountain Homes places an emphasis on resourcefulness in order to create a business model that lasts and creates long-term differences.
The company prides itself in being an employee-owned business committed to remaining private.
The Pinnacle Mountain Homes staff members place an emphasis on their purpose, which they say is to enhance the lives of others.
“As the value of our real estate increases, clients in Summit County have become more sophisticated in their expectations. Pinnacle has moved well beyond simply delivering top-quality construction and now focuses on the entire client experience,” founder Chris Renner said. “Having everything under one roof greatly simplifies the relationship, as clients can design, build, furnish, manage and rent with a single company.”
The company developed “The Pinnacle of Happiness,” which is their model for achieving this purpose. They say a major aspect of this is letting their clients know they are in “the business of trust.”
Pinnacle Mountain Homes were recipients of the “America’s Best Builder” award in 2012 by the National Association of Home Builder and two years later were later named “Best in American Living.” The company has been a recipient of INC Magazine’s “America’s Fastest Growing Companies” five times. Additionally, they have been highlighted by “Colorado Companies to Watch,” and earned “Best Large Business” and “Best Place to Work” by the Summit Chamber of Commerce.
