Voters urged to vote early

BRECKENRIDGE – Breckenridge election officials are urging voters to vote early if they plan to be out of town on spring break when the April 6 election falls.

Electors unable to come to the polls may request an absent voter ballot by filing an application in writing. The application can be downloaded from the town’s web site at: or can be mailed or faxed by calling the town clerk’s office at (970) 453-3182 or (970)453-3167. All absentee ballots must be returned to the town clerk no later than 7 p.m. April 6.

In-office absentee voting starts March 25. Voters may vote by absentee ballot in the town clerk’s office in the Breckenridge Town Hall at 150 Ski Hill Road, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. In-office absentee voting closes at 5 p.m. April 2.

On election day, the polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Breckenridge’s only polling place is at town hall. For more information, contact the town clerk at (970) 453-3167 or
