W. Gerald Bird, Jr.: Same old GOP playbook
Frisco, CO Colorado
Thank you Mr Pacot for your most recent rant. We would like to thank you for your generosity in giving President Obama a whole month to undo the catastrophe that was the Bush administration for eight years, nearly ruining the country and world.
Evidently the new Republican memo goes something like this: “obstruct, distort, demean Obama, continue what didn’t work during the past election. We will survive this meltdown and the middle class be damned. Regaining power is all we want.”
The past month has been nothing but obstruction and the same old Repub playbook, cut taxes for the rich, ship jobs over seas as demonstrated on the floor by McCain a few days ago ” i.e. the same failed policies of the past eight years.
As to your shot at the Dem tax dodgers, thank Obama for being naive enough to try to play ball with your ilk and not prosecute. For if he did, half of the former administration would be behind bars, the shameful Cheney with his recent despicable remarks leading the way about another imminent attack due to the current administrations attempts to bring peace to the world. And boy would we like to know how many Repubs are playing the tax-dodge game. At least the Dems had the guts to admit to it instead of stonewalling as the Repubs usually do.
Do us a favor Mr. Pacot: Hide under your covers for a year or two, then come out and give us your usual “bi-partisan” assessment. We are sure the rant will be the same, concentrating on the shortcomings but at least give the man some time and maybe (laughing) some bi-partisanship besides the obvious senators from your side who show concern for the middle class: Senators Spectre, Collins and Stowe. Our thanks to you, senators.
