Wal-Mart evacuated due to electrical problems

FRISCO – The Frisco Wal-Mart was evacuated for several hours Tuesday afternoon following an electrical problem that set off the fire alarm.Lake Dillon Fire-Rescue responded to the incident shortly after 3 p.m., according to Rachel Flood, spokesperson for Lake Dillon Fire-Rescue.In compliance with Wal-Mart protocol, all the staff and customers were sent out of the store after the alarm went off.Flood said there were no visible flames, but the smoke coming from an electrical room in the back of the store was significant enough to set off the alarm.She said the store needed to take care of a fairly significant electrical problems before it could reopen, which was expected to be sometime Tuesday evening.- Nicole Formosa
