Wanna be a cover photographer?
The photos on this page are winners of our Spring Photo Contest, which are featured in our Summit County Spring Guide on racks around the county.
Since we got so many great submissions in our last contest, the Summit Daily News is looking to our community to be the photographer for our Summer Activities Guide cover. We are looking for photos taken in Summit County that portray the High Country Lifestyle that we all live day to day. All photos must have a Summer theme and have been taken in Summit County. Up to two photos per person may be entered. Please include the following details with your submission: your name, e-mail address and phone number, a title for the photo, location, and date taken.
All photos must be 300 dpi. Size: Vertical photos must be 8-inches by 11-inches or larger. Horizontal photos must be 11 inches by 8 inches or larger. Should the quality of entries fall below the standard required, the Summit Daily News reserves the right not to publish a winning photo on the cover. All entries that fall below the standard requirement will still be eligible for publication inside the Activities Guide as a runner-up.
Judges appointed by the Summit Daily News will choose the winner. The judges’ decision on all matters relating to the competition is final, and no correspondence will be entered into concerning the competition’s judging. Second- and third-place winners will be published along with a collage of runner-ups inside the activities guide.
