Water main ruptures in Wildernest

Daily News staff report

WILDERNEST – A water main that ruptured on Tuesday morning left about one-fourth of Wildernest residents without water. The problem was expected to be fixed as of 8 p.m. Tuesday night, said Gary Drescher, manager of Buffalo Mountain Metro District. “We started working on it right away,” Drescher said. “But as you probably know, the area is filled with other kinds of utilities like electrical conduits, so we have to get those mapped out before excavation gets under way.”The area that was affected was between Woodworks Townhomes and Miner’s Run, Drescher said. For updates and information, call (970) 468-6291, ext. 224.
