Weekend storm dumps up to 30 inches of snow; more on the way

A powerful snowstorm dropped up to two and a half feet of snow on the Colorado mountains over the weekend, and forecasters say another, weaker storm is on the way.The Silverton Mountain and Wolf Creek resorts each reported 30 inches of snow. Some of the state’s larger resorts reported from three to nine inches of new snow.Eastern foothills towns reported up to nine inches and the northeast plains reported five inches in some areas.The National Weather Service says snow is expected to start falling in the southwestern mountains again Monday night and Tuesday, with “significant” accumulations possible.
