Welcome to the Best of Summit 2004

Summit Daily Staff Report

Who says voter turnout is a problem? This special section proves that people will indeed vote in droves ” at least when it comes to the best of Summit County.

Our first experiment with online voting created a surge in participation for the Best of Summit 2004. It also gave us responses from all over the country. Seems everyone who has experienced Summit County has an opinion on the area’s cream of the crop. Of course, the locals weighed in heavily as well.

Our online poll also allowed voters to share why they voted the way they did. Comments from locals and visitors alike are sprinkled throughout the following pages, always referring to the winner of the category.

Many of this year’s winners we’ve seen on top before. But there are some surprises.
