Wendy & Paul Whittaker: Count your gas blessings!

Wendy & Paul WhittakerTucson

Having just returned to Arizona after a month of skiing in Summit County, I noted that gas prices in southern Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona were much higher than those in the Dillon/Silverthorne area. The cheapest we saw was $1.85 south of Buena Vista. The highest was $2.15 in the Deming, N.M. area. On Feb. 11 we filled up at City Market for $1.73. The average price paid on our trip home was $1.99.Things arent so bad in the high country after all.
