Werstak: Reconsider your recpath manners

Marj Werstak, Breckenridge & Florida

My husband and I are summer visitors and love using the Summit County recpaths. We ride slowly and expect to be passed, but more times than not overtaking cyclists do not notify when passing. We use mirrors and try to be aware but the responsibility is on the overtaking rider to notify when passing. We frequently have been startled when being passed. The more important point is the safety factor. Hopefully some of those riders will read this letter and reconsider their recpath manners.
