What next? No flowers allowed in Breckenridge front yards?

Once again, the Breckenridge Town Council, with all of its wonderful ordinances, has outdone itself.

I have lived in this town for almost 10 years, and the one thing that was a symbol of spring and summer to come was John Daisy’s floral display outside of Fatty’s Pizzeria on Ridge Street.

The town council has either way too much time on its hands, or it is completely out of touch as to what the town of Breckenridge is all about. Daisy and several other Ridge Street establishments used his “temporary” greenhouse not only to spruce up their businesses, but also to make the Ridge Street area alive in color.

I can only imagine what landmark decision they will come up with next, maybe no landscaping at your home unless it has been designed by a landscape architect.

With some of the decisions that come from the Breckenridge Town Council, it sometimes makes me wonder how some of its members can look themselves in the mirror each morning. These people could mess up traffic on a one-way street, if ever given the chance.
