What’s really funny about dining out:

Bill BauerSilverthorne

What’s funny to me, at least, about the Breckenridge McDonald’s controversy is that there are really no great restaurants in Breckenridge, nor for that matter in Summit Country, nor in Denver. With the new .08 standard for blood alcohol concentration for a DUI, I would suggest that locals and tourists alike just stay home, light up a fire, pour a glass of merlot, and just kick back. You’re probably better chefs anyway and won’t have to suffer the loud music or let the cops get their jollies putting you through the routines. But for the humidity and mosquitoes, I’d be more likely to dine out in Kansas City, Mo., at the Plaza III with a succulent filet mignon and buttery grilled lobster tail, something I probably couldn’t order here for less than $65 a head of equal quality.
