William Pifer dies at 79


Silverthorne resident William John Pifer passed away on May 29 at his home in the loving arms of his wife Gudrun Roberts.Pifer was born in Detroit and served in the U.S. Army before a career in the RV sales industry.He had been a resident of Silverthorne since 1989.Pifer is survived by two children from a previous marriage a son Thomas, his wife Linda and their son Joshua of Sutton Bay, Mich. and a daughter Darby, her husband Steve Schlagheck and their daughter Ashley of Haslett, Mich.Pifer’s wife also has three children John and Lisa Roberts of Fairplay, Michelle and James McArthur of Holland, Mich., and Kelly Roberts of Linden, Mich.A gathering of friends and family in memory of Pifer will be held at a later date.
